Volume Leveling Configuration

From the main menu, click Tools > Options > Player > Volume Leveling. On the configuration panel set:

Baseline Volume Level

This sets the baseline volume level used for leveling track volume when:

If this value is changed, then the the figures that appear in the volume leveling coefficient column of the tracklist will automatically adjust to indicate the difference between track volumes and the baseline.

If you are planning on exporting Tracks to a portable device, you may want to experiment with increases to the Baseline Volume Level.

Analyze Volume only for Tracks with Unknown Leveling Adjustment

This option causes the 'Analyze Volume' command to proceed only on Tracks that do not yet have a volume coefficient calculated. The only reason to disable this is if you're not confident of the co-efficients currently stored.

Target Volume Level for Player

This sets the desired volume level when Level Playback Volume is enabled.  This is sometimes known as a pre-amp.

Level Playback Volume

If this is enabled, then the MediaMonkey player will automatically adjust the player volume to the Player's Target Volume, using previously analyzed volume leveling coefficients. It has no effect on Tracks that do not have a volume leveling coefficient.

Target Volume Level for Burning Audio CDs

This value is used to set the volume of Audio CDs that are burned via MediaMonkey, if volume leveling is enabled when the CD is burned.

Clipping Prevention

Clipping prevention ensures that volume leveling doesn't result in clipping of the audio Track. It does so by limiting the volume adjustment when possible clipping is detected.
